Collages

Collages created by Merve Ozaslan, she called it the 'natural act'.

I tried out this idea using photoshop, cutting out parts of my own images and replacing it with my own  images of nature, such as flowers, trees and landscapes.

I used the image from my chemigram to create a collage, showing how chemicals can affect plants.

Analogue Black and White

Black and White Analogue Photoshoot

These are the images from my shoot, i think they turned out really well. I love how vintage they look and they have a slightly sinister look too them, due to the images being quite dark.

Pin Hole Camera

How i made it:

First i drilled a hole in the coffee tin.

Then i used a pin to make a hole in a small peice of tin.

Then we sprayed the inside of the tin black, so reduce how much light will get in.

Finally i stuck the pinhole onto the the inside of the tin once the black spray was dry.

This was the result:
The image didn't turn out as I hoped, I think this was because exposed it for too long.

Cyanotype

Cyanotype
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints. The process uses two chemicals: ammonium iron(III) citrate and potassium ferricyanide.

I created my own cyanotype using secondary images which I cut up a reorganised. I used a picture of a cassette tape, a cactus and a dot pattern. I found that the lighter the image, the better the results.

Chemigram

Chemigram

Chemigrams can be made solely with photo paper, developer, and fixer.

Golden Hour

Golden Hour
I took these images when the sun was just starting to go down, which gave the images a beautiful gold quality.

The image above is my favourite image, as I managed to get the little flies in focus, making them look like little fairies dancing in the sun.
